Dr. LaRose is beginning her 13th year in the Del Mar Union School District. Before coming to Sycamore Ridge School, she had the opportunity to spend nine years as the Principal of Sage Canyon School and 20 years in Phoenix, Arizona, as a teacher, specialist in curriculum, instruction and staff development, middle school assistant principal, middle school principal, and elementary principal.
Dr. LaRose obtained both her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and her Masters degree in Educational Administration from Arizona State University. She did her undergraduate work in her home state of Ohio at the University of Cincinnati where she began her career as an educator.
Dr. LaRose and her husband Arthur are the proud owners of a historically significant Spanish Revival home and enjoy collecting Early California period art and antiques and digging in their cottage style garden. When home and work needs are met, they love to continue their 25 year quest for that perfect little foreign remote beach locale that compels them to ponder, “What if…?”.
