Erica and her husband Mike have lived in Del Mar since 2011. They chose Del Mar as their home largely because of the exceptional public schools. One of their children attends Del Mar Heights School currently, and their two oldest children attended the school for seven years and are now in the San Dieguito Union High School District.

Education:
Erica attended public schools in Raleigh, North Carolina. She earned her BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Journalism and Political Science. She received her MBA in Real Estate Finance from Columbia Business School.

Professional:
Erica’s background is in finance, management and public affairs. She is the Chief Operating Officer of San Diego Social Venture Partners, an organization that provides pro bono consulting to nonprofits. Erica previously worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York and was promoted into the management group, where she was involved with business selection, staffing and internal management. Prior to business school, she helped establish the Presidio Trust in San Francisco and worked for Partners in School Innovation through the AmeriCorps national service program.

Community Service:
Erica has served on the board of multiple organizations and nonprofits including the National Charity League (San Dieguito) and the Earl Warren Middle School Site Council. She was PTA President at Del Mar Heights School for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years and remains a regular classroom volunteer.
Board Responsibilities:
Erica was appointed on March 4, 2016 to serve the remainder of the term through November 2016. She was re-elected to serve a four-year term from December 2016 - December 2020 and again from December 2020 - December 2024. She is currently serving as a representative on the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF), alternating with other members.
