School Accountability Report Cards
School districts throughout California are required to produce School Accountability Report Cards to provide the public with a way of comparing school programs and achievement within a format of standard topics. Production of School Accountability Report Cards stems from the passage of Proposition 98 in 1988. In the past several years, the School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) have undergone extensive revision to align with the additional state mandates stemming from the Williams suit, in addition to the mandates already imposed as the result of the No Child Left Behind program.
