DMUSD Flyer Program
DMUSD Flyer Program
The following guidelines are designed to determine the priority and appropriateness of materials presented to our students and the community. The primary function of the schools, and school personnel, is to educate children. All distribution of flyers will be done electronically and will ultimately be at the discretion of the Superintendent of the Del Mar Union School District.
Our district cooperates with approved community partners by posting eflyers online and distributing them electronically through our service provider, Peachjar (effective August 17, 2015). As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.
To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents and posted online. Paper flyers will no longer be distributed.

Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district office. District staff will review the material and approve or deny based on Board Policy 1325: Advertising and Promotion.
Materials must meet the following criteria in order to be distributed to students:
1. Agency distributing must be non-profit, and be an established entity operating as a business (not an in-home cottage operation).
2. If a fee is involved, scholarships must be provided, and it must be noted on the flyer.
3. A majority of the activities specified must be age-appropriate for K-6 students including 6th grade students transitioning to 7th grade during the summer months.
4. The activity must fall within the boundaries of the Del Mar Union School District. In the case of sports teams, at least half of the games must be played within the boundaries of the Del Mar School District/Carmel Valley/Rancho Santa Fe/Solana Beach area.
5. Non-profit organizations operating outside the Del Mar School District may be authorized if numbers 1-3 above criteria are met.
Peachjar charges a fee for this service which is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.
